Based in Whadjuk Country, Roberta grew up alongside the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River) with an internal urge to be an advocate for all animals. She is a primary school teacher currently on leave bringing up four earth loving plant-based children. She joined AJP WA in 2014 and has been a dedicated committee member ever since. She is passionate about protecting the environment, ending the cruel practice of factory farming and improving welfare standards around keeping “pet” birds. In her spare time, she runs a small home-based animal sanctuary giving a home to many rescue birds and other small animals. She also runs a small war on food waste project aiming to reduce food waste, help feed animals in sanctuaries and feed those less fortunate in the community.
