Become an AJP Candidate

We are now calling for candidates to fill Upper and Lower House Seats for the 2025 WA State Election.

Our two Animal Justice Party MPs are fighting every day for animals, and winning.

MP Georgie Purcell (VIC) and MP Emma Hurst (NSW) have shown just how much can be achieved when AJP representatives are elected to Parliament.

Now, it's our turn in WA.

In the March 2025 State Election, we have the best chance yet at having our first WA Member of Parliament elected to the Upper House. Will you support our campaign to ensure this happens?

Standing as an AJP candidate plays a critical role in increasing public awareness of animal cruelty and the Party, increasing our vote and of course, in winning our first-ever MP in Western Australia! The more candidates we have, and seats we run in, the more chance we have of ensuring a voice for animals in the halls of power.

This is where you come in!

Nominating as a candidate for the first time can feel a little overwhelming. But, it is the single most impactful thing you can do to help us affect animal protection legislation.

Our candidates come from diverse backgrounds, and most are running for the first time. This is why we ensure we provide plenty of support and training for AJP candidates.

Campaigning is flexible. Being an AJP candidate can involve as little or as much as you can give....

... Anywhere from simply lending your name for the voting ballot - to ensure voters have the choice to vote for kindness and compassion (and boosting our Upper House vote!)....

... To running an active, local campaign - including community outreach, media opportunities, and more!
