How to Vote AJP in the Federal Senate in WA

In Western Australia, here is How to Vote for the Animal Justice Party in the 2025 Federal election.

  • On the smaller ballot (Lower House - House of Representatives), order your local candidates however you choose, as we are not running any Lower House candidates in WA for this election. However, we recommend keeping in mind that - with respect to live sheep export - Labor has promised to uphold and implement the ban if re-elected, whilst the Liberal Party has pledged to overturn the ban within their first 100 days in office.
  • On the larger ballot (Upper House - Senate), Vote 1 Animal Justice Party. It is the only way we can elect our first Animal Justice Party Senator and be able to fight for true animal protection. You will also need to number at least 6 boxes if voting 'above the line', or at least 12 boxes if voting 'below the line'.

Our preference recommendations for 'above the line' voting are shown in the How To Vote card below. While we remain independent of all other parties, our preferences reflect a combination of our core values and strategic considerations. We do not 'endorse' other parties, but we use our preferences to help deliver the best possible outcomes for animals, people, and the planet. Animal Justice Party preferences are only recommendations, and you as the voter have full control of where your vote is directed.

Animals can’t afford your #2 vote.

Give them your #1 Vote. If we don’t get elected, your full vote goes to whoever you put at #2, then #3, and so on. The candidate that your vote eventually elects will see that you put Animal Justice Party first. This will send a clear message to the major parties: Western Australians want an end to animal cruelty.
