One film.
One night in Midland.
Free for everyone.
- Free entry
- Booking essential
- Wheelchair accessible
Hon Amanda Dorn MLC is hosting a free screening of The Plastic Country at Midland Junction Arts Centre. It's a new Australian documentary that asks a hard question: how did Australia become one of the world's biggest plastic-waste producers per person, and what will it take to turn the tide?
- Follow the plastic. Filmmaker, ocean advocate and councillor Kal Glanznig tracks it from remote beaches and stormwater drains to supermarket shelves, science labs and Parliament.
- See who pays. Our coastlines, our wildlife, our communities, and even our own bodies.
- Leave with solutions. It's confronting, but it's a film about hope and what we can actually do.
- Bring everyone. Family, friends and workmates are all welcome. Book them a seat too.
Tickets are free, but booking is essential, and it happens on Humanitix. Book your free ticket on Humanitix.
Plastic is an animal issue
Plastic doesn't just litter our beaches. Turtles, seabirds and fish swallow it and get tangled in it. That's why we want as many people as possible to see this film.
One thing to know: clicking "Going" on Facebook doesn't hold a seat. Only a Humanitix booking does.
